The History of Aalto Executive Education Academy

Aalto University's two executive education providers, HSE Executive Education and TKK School of Business, merged on 1 April 2010. The name of the new company is Aalto University Executive Education Ltd (Aalto EE). In 2014 the activities of Aalto EE have been extended to include the commercial professional development activities of both Aalto University Professional Development (Aalto PRO) and the School of Business’ Small Business Center (PYK). In 2017 Aalto EE acquired the entire share capital of FINVA Financial Education Ltd (Finva Finanssikoulutus Oy) from the Insurance Sector Development Association (Vakuutustiedon Kehittämissäätiö). The company is now part of the Aalto EE Group.

Each year, around 6,000 people from 1,000 companies benefit from our impactful, goal-oriented and comprehensive learning experience. We nurture and develop the knowledge and skills of individuals and foster self-confidence. We build individual learning paths and meaningful careers, as well as architectures for developing competence in entire organizations. You will also create the best business networks with us.

Academic Highlights

Aalto Executive MBA is designed around the four major areas of strategy, leadership, finance and marketing, with a special emphasis on strategy and leadership in a global context. Strategy is approached from a variety of perspectives with an emphasis on inventive strategies and novel business models. Leadership covers a range of themes from self-leadership to leading and inspiring others. Each module is carefully prepared with the program director and faculty coming together to slightly customize the module content that fits the class demographic and market environment. In addition to globally relevant content, the Aalto Executive MBA provides participants with an opportunity to expand their cultural knowledge and skills. Up to four modules can be taken at other Aalto EE locations in Europe and Asia. Two elective modules during International Week and one elective module during study tour abroad contributes further to developing cross-cultural competence.
