MAHSC is a partnership between The University of Manchester and six NHS Organisations uniting leading healthcare providers with world-class academics and researchers. MAHSC partners share a common goal of providing patients and clinicians with rapid access to the latest discoveries, and improving the quality and effectiveness of patient care.
Through the extensive local, national and global collaborations, MAHSC is becoming a major biomedical and health hub, providing clinical and research leadership and helping healthcare organisations to reap the benefits of research and innovation to drive improvements in care. The key research areas are Cancer, Cardiovascular, Inflammation and Repair, Mental Health, Population Health and Implementation, and Women and Children

Life in Manchester Academic Health Science Centre
MAHSC intends to act as a focus point to develop an effective shared vision and strategy for health research in Greater Manchester. One of the partnership's main objectives is to develop a system for rapid dissemination and translation of research findings into routine public health practice, enabling research outputs to directly benefit the patients and residents of Greater Manchester.
