The History of Northern Luzon Adventist College

Northern Luzon Adventist College (NLAC) is a private educational institution located in the province of Pangasinan. The school was originally established as a Church School standing in a cogon and bamboo made building in 1923. Then in 1926, the school was relocated and turned into an academic institution offering Basic Education program. And when the school was renamed as Northern Luzon Academy in 1931, it started to offer secondary programs, and eventually, a tertiary program was introduced in 1992, which was duly approved by then North Philippine Union Mission (NPUM).

Academic Highlights

The school accommodates five colleges with twenty undergraduate programs and a basic education program from pre-school to high school. Aside from these programs, the school also has an Associate degree program in Computer Technology with two years of academic instruction. Further, the school is duly accredited by the Department of Education (DepEd), and by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Also, some of the recognized religious academic institutions like the the International Board of Education (IBE) of the General Conference (GC) of the Seventh-day Adventists, the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) through the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities-Accrediting Agencies, Inc. (ACSCU-AAI), recognize the school's operation.

The school operates under the guidelines of their four-fold objectives which aims to develop harmoniously the physical, intellectual, social, and spiritual dimensions of an individual that will mold them to be a responsible citizen, and a future Christian leader of the church and the community. And with the efforts of the administration to maintain and instill this principle, the school now established its reputation as a model institution in terms of providing Christian education in the province.
