The History of Shawinigan College

Opening its doors in 1968 along with a large number of other community colleges in Quebec, College Shawinigan is a public college and vocational school. Formerly known as Cegep de Shawinigan, the school was later renamed in 1994, however, is still offers Cegep programs to college students.

The school is located in Shawinigan, Quebec and offers students a variety of academic, technical, and internship programs to help prepare students for university education or entering the workforce. Sticking to its motto of knowledge and people, the school focuses on producing good people with the knowledge to succeed in the career path of their choice.
