The History of Robertson College

Robertson College was established in 1911 after its founder Mary Irvine Robertson and her sister made plans to begin a court-reporting business. In Edinburgh, Scotland Mrs. Robertson had worked as a shorthand stenographer and reporter in the city hall. In 1912, Mrs. Robertson emigrated from Scotland along with her young daughter, arriving in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Robertson offers a number of programs in Health, Business, and Technology, and uses past academic information such as courses and grades, and in some cases, prior work experience in combination with education to determine an applicant’s eligibility for admission.
