  • Lashawn Answered August 27, 2019 3:06pm

As this is a relatively new programme, the rates of admission is quite high. The professors also highly encourage international students to apply. Also, as the admission are on a rolling basis, there is an advantage in applying early.

As compared to other universities around DC, University of Maryland's school fees are relatively cheap. However, this does not mean a compromise in the quality of the program. The program ranks 6th among Applied Finance programmes around U.S. therefore making it very value for money!

What are the advantages to the Masters in Applied Finance programme at University of Maryland?

I personally feel that the greatest advantage is the school's geographical location. Our campus is only 10 miles away from DC and there is a direct train there. Nearby we also have the three airports - BWI, DCA and AD, so it is very convenient for students to go around for internships or to explore. In addition, College Park is a big University city where students can make use of a lot of resources.
